What is on the glass?

So this tank was established for many years, but I recently overhauled the insides (new plants and driftwood) and changed the filtration from integrated hood to canister and added UV. It has been looking good for a couple weeks so far since, but overnight I woke up to see all these little white specs all over the glass. Can anyone identify it? They look kind of like little tufts that move with the current, but attach at a single point on the glass. Otherwise the water looks clear except for oil slick on the top.

Do they look like this?

If so, it's just hydra. They're only a threat to very tiny baby shrimp. They are usually a symptom of overfeeding and will go away if you cut back on the flake. Some fish, like mollies and guaranis, will go after them. You can also just clean your glass.

I think this is just the oil from whatever cause the oil slick on your water surface. I just set up a new tank using Black Diamond Blasting sand and there was a little bit of oil film on the top, I put an intake pipe with a surface skimmer in and 2 days later I can see all this similar looking while spot inside of mine glass lily pipe output.
If it is like little white hairs that wave in the movement of the water, my bet is on the white fungus that grows from new driftwood. Some of it usually attaches to the glass, and it eventually dies of on its own unless something eats it first. Assuming that's what it is, it's harmless and will go away in its own.

It has definitely lessened so maybe the driftwood fungus? but I don't see any on the driftwood itself
