i should know this but what qualifies a tank as hi-tech

I haven't been here too long, but generally when I see people referring to "high tech", they mean high(ish) light, and pressurized CO2. I don't think its an exact term though, it has a different definition for everyone.

ok thats what i thought i didnt know that higher lighting played a role in it though.

Pressurized co2 is pretty much what I consider hitek. If they have that then there is a good chance that they also have higher lighting and are using a fert dosing regime too.
