Last night I drove down from college in to visit my family and my tank looks like a mess. My dad has been taking care of it for the past month, and he only has a basic knowledge of keeping aquariums so this could be an explanation for it. There is a film of brown over the substrate and there is patches of white fuzzy stuff. My first idea was that he was over feeding them, which I can correct but my concern now is cleaning. If it is over feeding causing the algae I can stop that so I am not worried about it coming back, but any recommendation on cleaning it now? Snails? Scrubber? Gravel Vaccum?
