Same here. (As soon as I get some Prime!)
I've used straight tap water for my entire life and have never had an issue.

Edit: No Prime, nothing.
i use straight ro water.

i think you whould have another option though because i think most people use a mixture of ro or ro/di water and tap
Tap via Python...
and topping off evaporation with RO from work.
CAN A MOD ADD 50/50 MIX TO THE POLL? is that possible?

You're probably on well water with no chlorine or chloramines. Most of us city-folk have city water which is sterilized and supplemented with fluoride and minerals. Make sure you state that, because it would be a bummer for someone to read your comment and stop using prime, killing their fish in the process.

I was told from several people on this thread:

http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/equipment/115018-buckets-hoses-wet-carpets-must-doin.html

that they don't even use prime...just straight tap.
I was using a mixture but it was just to much work for me so now i use straigt tap.
I use ro for drinking and cooking and test standards
City tap water via python hose
treat with prime as water starts flowing into tank
I use RO because I really dont like the water that comes out of my tap. If I wont drink it why should I give it to my fish.
I use tap water, but I use 3 gallons or so of DI water weekly to top off for evaporation.
Tap straight outta my DIY "Python"... add Prime directly into the tank as it fills.
I use tap water that I've run through a Brita filter. I store it in gallon jugs to which I've added prime. I keep the jugs on top of the refrigerator to warm up the water a bit (great for winter time). I change out water Saturday mornings, Tuesday afternoons, and as needed if I have a little concern about anything (like a dead fish -- rare, no deaths this year yet! -- or maybe a bit more algae than I want to see). I have a 10G, a 6G and a 2.5G (and soon some more nano tanks), so this method of water storage and the way I use it is good for me.
Tap water, but i fill it up into a 5 Gallon tank and let it sit for over 3 days before using it, and when pouring it in, i always leave the base of the water in the bottle, because i figure thats where everything settles.
Straight from the tap. Very pure well water out here. But I also have an RO unit that I just got that I am looking to use about a 50-50 mix in the future to reduce the hardess and pH of the water in the future.
