I've seen a couple videos, but none of them seem to help.

I've tried distracting him, and just letting him be. He is new to his tank as well...

Do you have other fish with him or is he alone?

Bettas (especially young bettas I have found) are going to display. It's normal and not something you should try to control. If you have done something weird like put him in with other fish and is biting them then you need to seperate them. But if this is an appropriate betta setup and he is just displaying then that is not anything to be concerned with. It will slow down a bit as he settles in and gets older.

Flaring = exercise.

Is the betta flaring normally, or is it looking at the glass and flaring?

They flare at their reflections, it's a territorial display. It doesn't hurt or stress the fish. It's also entirely normal, and most likely not going to stop.

Sorry it took me a long time to reply to this. He's alone. Fortunately, he has stopped and gotten used to his surroundings.

I'm very sorry I couldn't reply to this earlier. When he flared he looked at the glass. I bet it was him seeing his reflection. He's gotten used to his surroundings, and has stopped.
