I'm curious of what others use and what your shrimp like the best or what you see the best results from.

Please list type of shrimp, food brand name, and anything you would like to add about the two.

I do feed the occasional Hikari shrimp cuisine and mini algae wafer but they go nuts for the Veggie sticks and Complete Veggie. I would like to try "human" foods but I have not really researched anything yet. I have too many other projects going on right now.

Blanched spinach, Hikari algae wafers (hand-grinded into fine powder), BorneoWild Grow/Spinach (grinded as well), MOSURA BioPlus

Shrimps seem to devour powdered food faster than solid wafers, that's why I grind the non-powder down by hand with a mortar, lots of work but worth it

I find a clear peppermill stocked with algae wafers, pellet foods, cubed dried foods, etc. very convenient for feeding fish fry and shrimp. Especially if you mix the "grindings" in a little tank water and squirt in with an eyedropper-makes it sink and disperse better.

And the Veggie Sticks come from where ?
I triedmine(RCS) on plain Great Value cut green beans and they liked the change
from what I normally feed them which is almost any small sized pellet form food that I happened to pass in a LFS ncluding Omega "Veggie" pellets, A Hicari pellet I got from e-bay marked for chichlids, one container of chichlid granuals and I found at the Petco
site a "new" ..."Carnivor pellet"/w 49% protien and after using that one for a couple of weeks there was a noticable increase in breeding.

I feed Borneowild Stout 1-2x a week and I noticed some of my FRS are really glossy after they molted. I scoop a small amount into 5ml api test tube with water & shake really well then pour into the fine sands. But half of this stuff just dissolve with the water and the rest looks like debris, shrimps just pick around the sands not sure how much they consumes out of it.

Great idea! Do you grind all the varieties together, like shrimp food confetti? Or do you one at a time and switch out?

ETA: Also, do you do this over a feeding bowl? or over some moss for them to pick it off of? Otherwise I'd think it'd kind of disappear into water or the substrate.
