I was looking at my tank today and I noticed that one of the leaf on my java fern plant looks really weird. Has anyone seen this before?

Happens all the time. Not unusual to see even trilobate leaves. Highly variable species, hence all the cultivars.

Ah ... i see it's the first time that I have seen it with my java fern though. kinda cool

depends on the lighting & nutrient condition, the leaves will change shape.
i'd be more worried about the all the holes in leaves if i were you.

Those are the old leaves that grew in not so ideal conditions and were nibbled at by my snails. As you can see the new leaf looks healthy.

Yup, looks healthy to me! It is always exciting for me when I get those kinds of leaves. I have one larger plant that is almost exclusively trefoil leaves - one of my favorites for sure!
