Can't say with 100% certainty that it is a weather/dojo loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) since it's hard to see the fins in this pic, but from the barbels we can see, there is a good chance it is. Take a look at some pics online and see if the barbels match up. The underbelly is usually unpatterned.

They are invasive. Still a cool fish though and not likes it's going to ruin your tank, but I understand it doesn't fit the native species biotope theme.

Actually, if you're just going for a "things that live in the river near me" tank, that guy might fit in well. Biotope tanks are usually about keeping fish that come from a specific area, and weather loaches, although they may not have originated in your area, come from there now.
