Just noticed that my female acting very aggressive in a particular area of the tank.... I looked carefully, and the male was guarding EGGS!!!!!!

They seem to be doing a good job, he comes in and guards, she goes and eats. She comes back and then he goes and eats. They laid the eggs however in an area where I was going to trim and plant this week lol. Guess like that is not gonna happen.

Hopefully you can get them to raise the fry, or you should move the eggs to a breeder tank.

I have thought about it, this go around I am going to see how they are, and if any fry make it. My fish in the tank are mostly small fish. they are doing a good job fending off anyone that moves anywhere near the nest.

nope I think dad got hungry the first night lol, I left the moon lights on so they could defend, and the only one near the eggs were the parents. Ohh well, maybe next time lol

lol sorry man i just saw this you gotta take em out ive very rarely seen them hatch and raised, but all we can do is move on an be ready for next time for some wigglers good luck man
