Other ways of removing or controlling snails besides limiting feeding.

starve for two days. feed in a corner or drop food in a net. come back in an hour or two and scoop them out. Do it til you don't see anymore snails.

You can always RAOK the snails
pea puffers will suck the little slime balls right out of their shells! I put a few pea puffers in my tank and they completely exterminated the snails within 2 or 3 days. Been running a snail-free tank for over a year now.
Assassin snails. :) pea puffers might pick on my kuhli loach
Just be careful and be aware that there are many mixed feelings out there of keeping assassin snails in a shrimp tank. Many people have reported them going after shrimp and killing them. Most reports I've read said the assassin snails were new to the tank and may have been starved, but you should be aware either way before diving head-first.
My assassin snails wiped out my ramshorn population. However, I saw my cpo trying to munch one of the assassins the other day. Not sure if he was successful or not

I'm going with assassins no matter what :) I'm against the theory of snails taking down shrimp.

I used no to believe in that but recent reports indicated that assassins will take shrimp down. I am not 100% sure how but I think that they produce slimy trap and set next to it (or hide under the substrate close to it) when the shrimp get stuck, the snail attack.

 I would love to see that happen. Sounds very exciting. Oh yeah and one random thing to clear it up. Kuhli loaches do "not" eat pond snails.
