I'm getting ready to take the RO plunge. I want to use the RO water for the tanks as well as for drinking water as our softened water is too salty for my tastes.

The softener is in the garage....there was a really convenient plumbing loop there as if the house was designed with water modification in mind. There is some space in the laundry room that I was thinking of placing the RO system. Ideally, I'd like to connect the water to the fridge so that I can get RO water from the in-fridge dispenser. There isn't space in the kitchen for a storage tank, but I could probably set up the RO system on the counter next to the fridge. (Are they noisy? Is that totally ghetto? :) )

What kind of water storage tank do you have?

What size? How much water does it hold?

Where is it located? How do you get the water to your tanks?

I have a 75 gallon tank with sump and a 20 gallon tank that I'd be doing water changes on. Realistically I'll be doing water changes every other week, probably around 50% The big tank evaporates about 1/2 a gallon a day.
