I just got two african dwarf frogs four days ago. I haven't had much luck with them before and came to the conclution they weren't getting enough food. This time arond I've been hand feeding them frozen blood worms with feeding tongs. My question is do they know how to limit themselves or is over feeding them a real danger? They just sit there and eat and eat and eat and eat. Pretty soon 1/2 of the cube is gone and I have two bloated frogs still willing to scarf down more as fast as I can get it to them. I want them to be happy and full but I also would appriciate it if they didn't explode.

don't forget they are reptiles and can go a long time without any food.

Frozen bloodworms should be soaked in a vitamin water to ensure that they are receiving the proper nutrients.

depends on their age and water temp. Juvies eat more / grow faster, colder waters slows down the metabolism.

maybe feed until the stomachs are rounded and feed again a few days later once they have flattened out a bit.

from my experience amphibians will eat till they cant eat anymore and will throw up if they eat too much.

I feed my African Clawed Frogs till their bellies are rounded also, every other day.
