Has anybody ever heard of a water level detector that would be suitable for an aquarium? I was thinking about one as insurance against a leak in one of the many plumbing connections that are under my tank. It's just one of those nagging thoughts I have ......waking up and finding an empty tank :icon_eek:

So I'm not the only one that thinks of this stuff. :icon_lol: That's for puddling water, I wonder if somebody makes the inverse of that....... something for disappearing water?

There was a thread awhile back in the DIY section about an amazing auto water changing system that changed a bit of water each day on multiple tanks. It used a low water sensor. I don't have time to search for it now, but it was long with many responses (several months back). He specifically listed the plumbing part (manufacturer and #)... a thread worth reading through anyway, very fun.

Dang,

That's great advice and I did find the thread on the construction. Water level valve is $39 through autotopoff.com And you are right - cool thread. Thanks for remembering it!
