Hello awesome community,

Looking to piggyback on your experience.

It is the first time I’ve gotten water lettuce to give extra hiding spots for my shrimp.
But it’s been a couple of weeks and I notice that leaves tend to melt and am wondering if it is normal.

The plants doesn’t seem to be dying, check out a picture below.

Mine have done that if they get dunked under water from my HOB filter

Interesting.
Mine don’t get dunked, I have a lily pipe and the plants tend to stay on their corner.

They doesn’t seem to die but definitely lose leaves on a weekly basis.

Wonder if it has to do with water params:

• 235ppm
• 7.7 ph
• 3 kh
• 6 gh

And I dose EI

Mine has done that but has recovered. It appears to be air temp or humidity affected as it only happens during winter months in my window sill zero tech shrimp bowl.

Oh, cool, I’ll pay attention as we transition out of winter.

I noticed also the roots melt and new ones come out but without much hairs so-to-speak
