My cat just knocked my light into my aquarium. I had plastic covering it before but I took it off yesterday because it turned brown and I did not replace it yet. Thankfully it was not on and I got it out fast but will it be safe to use?

Make sure it is dried thoroughly including the ballast area and test it while you are present to see if there are any problems. They usually will not work if anything is damaged.

+1 since it was off odds are it will work again but be sure its dry.

I would either take it apart somewhat and set it on top of something warm, picnic table, etc. but make sure it's completely dry before trying to use it.

You could use a hair dryer on the warm setting to help dry the light. If not, a couple of days in a dry place should get it dry.

Or leave it wrapped in a towel in your car's backseat/trunk for a sunny afternoon.

if i get my cell phone wet i put it in rice, granted you would need a huge bag of rice to do this with a light, but it works very well.
