Fluval Edge 6 gallon tank with 5 fish, 3 shrimp.
My water is 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 5ppm nitrates.
Changed filter carbon and cleaned.

Water parameters are good but the water looks thick and has these very small bubbles floating around, forming from the sides and floating toward the top.

What are these bubbles? Why does my water seem "thick"? Is this something to worry about?

I use flourish excel if this has anything to do with it.

Did you just do a water change? This is very common after doing a water change with water fresh out of the tap. It has tons of dissolved gases that are bubbling out.

Did the water change 5 days ago. Seemed clear the day after the change. Now it has small bubbles and thick..
