Hi does anyone have any tips for water changes when you have fry? One of my guppies just had babies and I have to figure out how to do water changes. I have an aqueon water changer and I figure I will just put a pair of pantyhose over the opening. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

I just use an airstone on a tube, it goes nice and slow and no baby fish or inverts can get into the tub, or sand/gravel

Also, it goes slow enough to work great for a drip acclimation.

I've been doing water changes with rainbow fish fry lately, which are TINY. I use small diameter tubing but still manage to get the occasional baby. I just make sure to drain into a white bucket so I can fish them back out. This way I am actually still able to vacuum the bottom and pick up debris. I keep them in bare bottom tanks with ramshorn snails. Snails are great for cleaning up extra food, but they sure poop a lot.
