What do you guys use to clean your arms/hands before you do work in the tank?

I have recently started scrubbing with hot water and biodegradeable "natural soap" before doing tank work until all smell of the soap is gone. I'm kind of leery about using conventional antibiotic soap.

I've always scrubbed my hands vigorously before putting them in my tank. I use normal hand soap or bar soap. I noticed before that even the oils on my skin left a film on the surface after I pulled them out. I'm guessing the acidic water just strips the oils right off than they just settle at the surface.

Having to put your hands in the tank is another great way to remind yourself to watch your hands! Stay flu free by working on tanks!

I just wash with regular soap & water. I rinse extra long & good when I'm going to be putting hands/arms into tank.

When I finish working in the tank I wash again .. don't rinse as long though.

Generic bar soap with thorough rinsing to avoid leftover soap residue.

i'm more concerned with soap residue in the tank than I am day to day dirt.

If I'm going to do some extensive work or know I will be in the tank for awhile. I put shoulder lenght gloves on, that I get from our local farm store and then purple latex gloves over those.

If it's just quick in and out to replant a stem or grab some loose stuff floating I don't worry about it.

+2 and if you have ever seen parasites swimming in the water you fell the need to wash after a little more.
