This is my project for 2012
I want to be a shrimp breeder!

22 tanks and 2 breeding racks
most of my tanks are run by two sponge filters each
15 bags of fluval shrimp subs 8.8lb for 15 and 20gal tanks
40gal - 27L ada soil tank / 55gal - 30L Akadama soil

these are what i keep and breed now

i have more empty tanks so i try to buy
orange tiger,Orange neos , fire red rilli, red tiger , BTOE ,
if u have some to sell, please pm me

im preparing a King Kong tank too
it's much faster than i thought
it will be 40gal breeder / ehiem 2215 / 27L ada soil , 8 kingkong to start with
i will start it once ada soil is available

those are my racks

my secret weapon
all sections are divided but share the same water in the same level
thats means i can selectively breed them easily
i will also try to hybrid some colors when i have enough shrimps

juvis grew up well , and started to get berried

40gal breeder tank / 27 ADA soil / fluval 204
i keep 13 CRS and 8 white indian back in there
i had to do something so i removed all decoration in the tank

i found out 2 CRS are berried and 4of WIB are berried as today

wow, nice fish room. Nice tanks. Nice shrimp. Nice everything. I'm envious. I'd say good luck on your resolution, but do you even need it?? I'd buy some of those if I had the cash.

You should open up a shop n sell some once they start to breed a lot

Lots of plants. Planning to bare those down? Lots of ways to do it, but most shrimp breeders run a fairly naked tank. moss, moss and maybe some more moss and hiding places.

what is disadvantage of shrimp tank with lots of plants???
i cant monitor all of my shrimps all the time.
i like to learn if there are other reasons
am a beginner so there gotta be lots of things to learn

The shrimp dont nees all the plants, so its just extra stuff in the tank to maintain. Not saying it wont work, just most hardcore shrimp breeders go for simple and practical. My shrimp grow fine in heavily planted and bare bottom alike. They do tend to eat the leaves off certain plants though ive found.
