Hello,

I'm starting up my first Walstad tank - it's about 2 gallons, hoping to eventually stock it with some shrimps and snails. About how long should I be waiting to stock it?

The plants are Ludwigia, miscellaneous mosses, and some red root floaters.

Once your tank is cycled as confirmed using liquid test kit you can stock it.

TBH, I used to love just watching the empty tank itself during cycling. all these little creatures that would normally get eaten would come out to play. it had it's own little environment in there without fish.
