I have been looking around and researching for plants native to South America, but since I've never kept live plants, I'd hope you guys could help me. I have a 20 gallon tank with natural brown gravel and a piece of driftwood that has only been cycling since the 27th. I'd like to keep it more heavily planted toward the back, but keep a nice open space in the front for my fish to show color and feed. I might be able to change my stock 17w florescent bulb hood if needed, because I don't think it will supply enough light. All suggestion are taken into account and thanks for the help, Vayu.
