OK so this tank has been set up for three weeks... everything thriving EXCEPT for the Val nana... It is growing (slowly though) and has sent runners, BUT I do notice a dark green type algae on some of the leaves (not all of them).... Now I do dose EI and have been adding excell after water changes and some times after adding trace on TU and THURS... I have done a search and saw that Excell does melt Val nana, but its not melting though...

I have since stopped excell since I do have Inj CO2 at 4-5 BPM... I have had Inj CO2 since day one...

* there is no other algae in the tank...

When I got the Val nana it was in bad shape...

They take a while to adjust to new water params--usually melt or don't grow for a little while. Next month you'll start seeing a ton of them. They love the CO2 and hate Excel so keep doing what you're doing. Re: the algae, could be the starts of BBA. Increase the CO2 if you can and if that doesn't work, increase/improve your flow in the area.

what size is your tank? You could use a circulation pump like a Koralia for additional circulation.
