Hello gents,
I want to install an inline UV sterilizer from my sump to my tank.
The one I'm looking at is a 1500-2200 liters per hour while my pump gives 3600 liters per hour.

Could I plug it in that line?
Would it be preferable to get an other sumpPump, 1500 liters per hour, and run it from the pump, out to the UV, and back in the sump?

The tank is a planted aqua one 400 with 16 Discus.
and the Biopro UV sterilizer 36w

You could just split your main line and have two returns, one with UV and one without.

I can't have 2 returns on my tank, Aquaone...

Thinking of it, I will just hookup a cheap sun-sun canister filter that I don't use to my sump and connect the uv on the out and back in the sump.
Filled will bio-balls, this will increase my biofiltration without the need of cleaning that sucker often...

My water get greenish at time.
And I want to prevent some germs or micro-organisms to develop...
Got the discus plague once, figured it was because of the blood worms, still now I want to have more aces in my hands.

Beside, do we really need a valid excuse to put more money in our tanks?

Ahh, didn't know you couldn't pipe in another return. When I googled the tank I just got a stock image with fish in it. Didn't see one with a plumbing diagram.

Just remember that UV also kills beneficial organisms as well.
