With all the equipment available to us for aquariums, wouldn't the UV sterilizer be on the top of the list? It kills bacteria, lessens algae considerably, and kills parasites. Many cloudy tanks are complained about on PT, but few mention a UV sterilizer for a fix. It is not impossible for bacteria to enter your water supply from your tap or directly from the air into your aquarium. If you have a cloudy water issue, wouldn't a UV sterilizer be your first choice?
Spend money on a UV sterilizer. I have the 'Green Killing Machine 9watt for 29g and smaller, and 23 watt for 55g, which creates the perfect amount of flow in my tank, while killing nasties. Cloudy tanks due to bacterial blooms are a thing of the past. But it does take a few days once the bacteria or green water has infected your tank to be completely cleared up by the UV.
There are many types of UV for aquariums that will fit your needs. Get one and see your cloudy water days disappear.
