Hi Everyone,

I know several people were interested in how it would go when I introduced 5 male Apistos Cockatoos into my community tank. I'm happy to report that there have been no problems whatsoever. I also have 3 Bolivian Rams along with the typical community stock of neons, rasboras, YoYos, and a few misc. fish like an ember, endler, etc..

I'm really happy with the Cockatoos that I bought from a guy on Ebay. They were juveniles when I got them and they're all growing well with lots of color.

So, other than a brief chase here and there, and a little posturing between the rams, all is well.

Have a great weekend.

I love Bolivian rams and never got them becasue I have heard they do not get along with Apistos, glad to hear you haven't had any problems with them. Both species are great fish. I currently have 2 adults (Hongsloi male and Macmasteri red neck gold female) in my 70 gallons tank. Bought 5 juveniles (2 female panduro, 1 male panduro, 1 female hongsloi and 1 macmasteri red neck gold male from a guy on Ebay that I knew he was a breeder sawing his posts in the FB apistogramma international page. All 5 including shipping for $100.00, good deal. I am setting up a second tank (16 gallons) in the following days for just the trio of panduros. I am moving the other 2 eventually to the main tank.
