Up Aqua -Aqua Sand reviews

I purchased Up Aqua's Aqua Sand as soon as it was available in the US.

I personally don't care for it especially at it's price. It does seem like it will last a long time but none of the three tanks I have it in seem to be thriving(shrimp and plants) compared to my other tanks with Fluvial Shrimp Stratum and Amazonia.

I would like to hear other peoples experiences.

I used it and had great experience then stopped paying close enough attention to it and the GH shot up to 8 (Was kept at 5, I wasn't topping off with straight RO properly, I wasn't topping off at all just doing water changes). I started losing CRS one by one, babies were dropping like flies. By the time I got the GH back in check they still weren't well. I moved them over to the FSS tank and they were fine. I've got them on Aquasoil now. I don't think there was an issue with the susbtrate on my end, I screwed up. I just couldn't get it back in check. It still had gorgeous shape though after 8 months and was still holding pH steady at 6.5
I used it and liked it.
I have use it and stopped buffering after 2 or 3 months.
I'm about to start trying it out tonight in an empty Fluval Ebi (8 gallon cube). I bought two bags of it off of Amazon to use in the Ebi, so we'll see how it goes. I am going to be using RO water remineralized with Salty GH+. It'll house my Blue Bolts - that is the current plan anyway.
