behold my best kept secret........
... now if i only knew what it really is!!! i was told it was an amano when i brought 3 but this on got reall dark real fast in my tank(black substrate black background?) while others reain pretty much clear in apearance........can anyone identify it...........
doesn't look like an amano- but the picture is pretty dark.
Do you have bamboo submerged in your tank? you should take it out and put it in a vase with a little gravel- it will only rot slowly in your tank.
Yup that is a really nice looking amano. Has a yellow stripe down the back? Two of my fully grown ones look the same with dark blue. I think they are the females since much larger than the rest. How about a coouple more of pics.
I know Amanos turn blue but not THAT blue...
The one in the image looks incredibly dark, the amanos that turn blue are usually still clearish. The one seen in the image looks so dark, I don't think you can even see through it!
the (bamboo) is from petco 3 stems and its been in my tank for months completly submereged with no problems exept for the ocassionall float by the bigger stem new roots growing all the time even in places where there should be any also they are much thicker than what the local dollar store sells here i dont think its lucky bamboo at all but i could be very wrong maybe i have so much areation in my tank that i wont rot? anyone else have a clue? I've heard that what ever petco sells is actually aquatic heck thats how i got it submereged and had seen in that tanks for months too
This is the picture of a few Blackberry shrimp that I bought from AquaTouch here in Phoenix, AZ. I would say half of them stayed like this color but the rest faded to dark brown. I bought 6 of them last December.
