Some of the Taiwan Moss I tied down last Thursday is extremely pale/yellow in color. Is this normal for newly planted moss? Am I doing something wrong?

I just did a WC last night, so pretty low, but they never really rise higher than 15 -20 ppm.

Where did you source from? Are they healthy before you tied them? How about the difference in water parameters?

Probably just adapting to your water conditions. Where ^^^ that is leading.

Give it a couple weeks to adjust. Much patience is required with mosses.

Just curious, would the method of tying moss affect their condition? I'm not refering to either using fishing line or nylon string,but the strength of securing the moss around rocks / driftwood?

I've never had issues with the strength applied tying mosses to objects.

Mosses are unusually resilient, but slow growers. Give it some time.

It might not have liked shipping or something.

Be careful with Excel dosing in this tank in the time being.

I had some moss in a Betta cup for at least 4 months. It was mostly brown when I finally put it in one of the tanks. Took a couple weeks and came back.
