super newbie question .. my new co2 setup is up and running. i plugged my regulator into my timer that runs with my lights. when the timer turns everything off, do i need to shut off ( close ) my co2 cylinder? does the regulator stop releasing co2 once the power is off?

thanks,

If there is a plug on your regulator, then that is controling a solenoid valve. This valve will shut the CO2 flow off when the lights turn off, no need to close the tank.

If you have a bubble counter then you will see the flow stop when that timer goes off. Mine doesn't stop immediately but slowly slows down while the air in the line bleeds off, then it is off for the night.

Hope this helps!
