There's quite a few people selling 'seiryu stones' online, but it has been confirmed that most of these are actually Chinese ying stones, a sort of limestone.
Ying stones tend to be a light grey in color, but there are other people now selling a sort of blue rock with white striations.
I was wondering if that was true seiryu, or another fake.

You are correct about the Ying stone. I have no idea how anyone but the seller would be able to answer this question for you with certainty. If you like the stone go for it.

The ones with the bluish color are the real seiryu stones. Much harder to find those!

The ying stones look good too, I wonder if anyone can weigh in on their effects to water parameters as compared to true seiryu.
