I'm curious as to which plants you have noticed to be very tough when it comes to withstanding a high current of water flowing nonstop over them. In particular, taller plants. ( background )
Im currently growing a massive jungle of hygro corymbosa and the plant does hold up really well in fast water. The leaves do flow with the current, while the actual plant itself as a stem doesnt sway much. It looks fine to me and they grow up out of the water every 2-3 days..
It got me thinking of what other tall, tough plants can withstand this without bending over too much while still growing well and looking attractive. Any suggestions?
I find particularly interesting, the way the roots can stretch down essentially anchoring the plant while creating a labyrinth of tangles for my fish to swim through. What other plants would fit well with hygro corymbosa that do this?
