I will take some FTS when I feel like removing the filter and taking some decent photos.
Here is a shot of the 'BGA'
I tried manual removal every week for about 4 weeks, increasing nitrates/flow, and reducing my photoperiod. I was about to give up and dose anti-biotics but I can't even find an instance of the bga now.
I just did the api e.m. erythromycin treatment on my 40B. Half the dose one day (one packet in the am and one in the pm) and then the next day I did half the dose on the same schedule as day 1 treatment. BGA is nowhere to be found and all my livestock are alive and well. I even have berried RCS.
I guess it's a case of "you milage may vary". The snails take a lil longer, but don't disturb anything. I only get BGA in new tanks though, so I don't have shrimp in them to begin with.
