How much is too much phosphates? I just tested my tap water and have a high reading of 1.8+ppm. Should I consider using some type of phosphate remover?

Will 1.8 plus my liquid fertilizer end up being too much?

Phosphates

Good morning Go...

You don't need to worry about your tap water. Just treat it for chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Your fish and plants will adapt.

I wouldn't recommend putting any chemicals in your tank.

The only thing you need to do is replace half the tank water every week and dose the appropriate amount of fert when you do your water change.
