Hi all ok I have a 20 gallon planted tank with 16 neon tetras,6 olive nerite snails and 10 crs. I know about the (1" rule) but my question is I am looking to add eather some white cloud minnows or rummynose about 10 of eather will that overload my tank? I have a aquaclear 50 for filtration. Thanks

The inch-per-gallon rule is absolutely useless. Different species have different waste output levels, body shapes, activity levels, sensitivity to nitrates and hormones, etc.
If you do weekly water changes I think 10 WCMMs would be fine.

I personally wouldn't keep Rummies in a tank this small as they're really active fish and IMO need their swimming room.

Your tank will be very heaviy stocked and leave you no room to slack on maintenance.

And IMO the "inch per gallon" rule works pretty well when talking about fish 2" or less (adult size) and small tanks. Just breaks down with larger fish.
what % water change would you suggest weekly?
depending on your plant level, and if you're doing EI dosing then i would say 50%. But anywhere from 30-50% would do
would say plant level is med. And yes I use excel 1.7ml weekly
Keep the stock low if you don't want to battle algae. *speaking from experience* :)
