...a few months back, we added three Cherry Red Shrimp to our 29 gallon; this morning, I counted nine (9) smallish shrimp on, or near, the front glass; if I can see nine of 'em, it makes me wonder how many we really have.

When you get too many, what do you do with 'em? Taking into account the lives and well-being of the shrimp, could they be conditioned to live in an outdoor water feature?

Dude dont worry about over population for a while, I have around 300 in a 10gallon.. Yes i counted during feeding time lol.
Damn how long did that take lol. Also if there gets to be too many you can sell em, flush em, eat em, put em in another tank.

2 sponge filters in 20gal long tank

every 3 months i catch about 80 adults shrimps and sold them to lfs or ppl around me :D

and i still have more than 100 juvis or babies in tank

if u just keep rcs by itself , feed them well, theres nothing more
