Hi guys,

I just bought a USED tom's rapid and was wondering what the OPEN / CLOSE dial on the face of the canister does? I spun the dial and did not see any changes with the filtration. Is it supposed to be OPENED or CLOSED?

Can someone please chime in? I would greatly appreciate it.:icon_mrgr

Haven't used one of these in awhile, but I believe what you're talking about is just a cap you can remove to fill the canister with water so that there's less air trapped in.
