Wow awesome video! I used to have a spotted salamander back in the day but never witnessed him eating (guessing he did his hunting at night) always wondered how he caught the crickets since he seemed so lethargic. Now I see they can move when it comes to food.

First of all, thank-you for the compliment! : ) I actually considered getting a spotted salamander because they are beautiful little creatures. I decided on getting a barred tiger because I had read and heard that they are much more active caudates.

Yeah I've kept spotteds before. I rememeber one would burrow himself into a hole and just stick his face out and wait. Whatever came near got snatched up.

@abrooks12376 Haha! I've always been a fan of practical effects. I actually wasn't sure about including it because I thought it might be too graphic.
