I have a couple Tiger Lotus plants in my 135 gal planted tank. I've had them for the last 7 years and in that time I've seen them throw off runners to form new plants by the roots, but I've never seen them begin growing new lotuses on the leaves. They are only forming on one plant (about three leaves) and seem to be forming where the leaf membrane begins fanning out.

I was curious if this is a behavior I should be concerned about? Like a stress response from the plant. Has anyone see this happen before? I did recently have to raise the temperature in my tank to 86-87 F to treat ich.
