I know we spoke but I would like to add to what I had previously said. Thrive+ contains some urea. In tanks with a ph under 7 then all of that urea is in the form of ammonium which is harmless. As the ph rises above 7 some of that ammounium loses a hydrogen and is present in the form of ammonia which can be harmful at elevated levels. At a ph of 7.5 the amount of ammonia is extremely low(under 1%). Here is a chart that will tell you the amount: https://bristolfish.org/2012/09/10/figuring-out-when-ammonium-levels-are-too-high/
As you can see this is also dependent on temperature, the warmer the water is the more ammonia that will be present.
BTW: Thrive really isnt intended just for higher ph tanks, it can be used across all ph levels, its just Thrive+ that is intended to be used on tanks with a lower ph.
Let me know if you have any further questions either here or through FB. Thanks.
