looks like a Emerged Non aquatic bootleg plant to me

the other piece looks exactly the same. it seems to be be growing fine both ways.

Ok, Then if your growing it emerged it should be just fine

i don't care about that. i am growing these plants as emergents. i placed the order with a supplier of pond plants, so i am not suprised that they would have sent an emergent as substitute. i do want to figure out what it is.
