I was getting bored with my sons endler/betta tank so I decided to change things up a bit. My goal with this tank is to turn it as low tech as possible. Would like to eventually get rid of the filter, but to be honest I am enjoying the splashing sound/waterfall effect.
I want this tank to require nothing but top offs. I dry dose bi weekly. Any ideas for additional plants or changes please feel free. Also still looking for additional riparium plants to place between the lilies and also in the back of the hob. Thinking about some dwarf palms. I have about 28" to work with below the light counting in substrate.
10g
Betta/Red Cherry Shrimp
Topfin 10 Hob
Evo Dual 3W Led 6500k 30" high
MGOPM capped with flourite and black sand

Emersed plants
Peace lily X 2
Bacopa Carolina
HC
Alternanthera Reinecke
Anubis Nana
Xmas moss
(Any ideas for more?)
(Still looking for mesh to use for hob downspout locally)

Immersed plants
Rotala colorata
Java Fern
Crypt Wendtii Green
Dwarf Sag
Water Lettuce
Anubis Nana

Waterfall

Peace Lilies

Thanks. I'm thinking that center rock draws my attention and it's too on center. Maybe I will pull that out today.
I had to use canister filter hose to extend the strainer down far enough. Just zip tied a sponge on to the hose it self. But it's about the lowest it can go. And takes about 5 minutes to prime itself. Lol
