Damselflies (which this is) are predatory, in or out of the water. As aquatic larvae, they feed on whatever they can catch on the prowl - for this guy, that has meant young shrimp. As adults, they feed on whatever they can catch on the wing - which means any mosquitoes or smaller flies in your house had best watch their P's & Q's!

Damselfly. Dragonflies can't fold their wings. Both have VERY predatory aquatic nymphs. It probably hitch hiked in on a plant...
