After many years of successful aquariums i'm needing a new challenge, a Paludarium was suggested and i'm really interested.
The general objective=
Have 55 gal tank,
would like to use it for the paludarium,
not interested in drilling holes in it,
Plan on using plastic plants,
Waterfall,lots of rocks, tetras in the water feature.
This project looks way more complicated than a regular aquarium, where does a noobie start?

The first visual idea i'm getting is of a large wood feature preferably with some remaining root structure going into the water,Problem is most of the driftwood on the banks of my local river floats. How do you get it to sink?

You either have to soak it for an extended period of time, or attach a piece of slate to the bottom with stainless steel screws.

I originally bought my 44g pentagon with the intention of turning into a paludarium that I hoped to add poison dart frogs to. I still want to. I hope you make a journal page for yours. Cant wait to see what you come up with.

Dood i will make a photo journal once i get underway with the project. but that may take some time as my tank is still in Aquarium mode.
