Bump: Definitely papyrus! Got my eye on some Egyptian Dwarf papyrus.

Wow great effort, following with interest.

This wasn't the original plan, but I added some koi to my pond. There is a high chance they're going to uproot the plants and mess up the scape. If so, going to need to rethink my plant selection and scape idea.

They shouldn't mess up your scape too much, from what I've noticed they generally tend to stay out of the shallows. If you get some lilly pads you can cover up the root ball with large rocks and they shouldn't (emphasis on might not...) mess with it.

You could do some great edge work with some ground cover plants like creeping jenny or bacopa. There are so many options with live plants it's nuts!
