As a newbie on a tight budget I have piece mealed my modest tank and its becuase you folks I'm even able to consider this hobby. Thanks to all those who help out others on this forum. I still need substrate and wood but once done ill poke around in the ROAK forum to see if I can get lucky.
My goal is to become a ROAK'er as well once established
ROAK is an awesome thing. It makes me feel good. All the plants that I used to adore and couldn't find when I started here, shouldn't be hard to find for other beginners. I just did a ROAK where I gave Eriocaulons, Hygro pinnatifida, Syngonanthus belem and what not. Its so much fun. Feels good to be a part of ROAK club.
I was giving away my trimmings before I knew a RAOKs existed. I remember what it cost for those sad plants I bought the first time. Throwing 100 times that in the trash seemed wasteful. I just gave away enough plants (and dry ferts) to fill a ten gallon to a user asking why their plants didn't grow...they barley had any plants in there. lol No need to even host a RAOK if I see a newbie in need.
