So I purchased some pygmy cories last week. Everyone seemed fine. Then a few days later I noticed one of them doing what i call the death roll. It's when the spin in circles whlle swimming forward. Most fish dont make it after that. I chalked it up to being the drive from the pet store or he wasn't as healthy as he looked. No big deal. Then the next day another pygmy was doing the death roll. I flushed him before he died in the tank. Then 2 days later one of my otos turns up dead for no apparent reason. At this point I'm suspicious and plan to do a water change the next day. I didn't have time then.

Then yesterday (planned day of water change) 2 more pygmys doing the death roll. I left these 2 and did a 20% water change and I think I saw 1 rolling this morning before I left for.work. I plan on checking params after work. Is there anything I missed?

Other then saying your fish are dying and you changed 20% of your water you didn't tell us anything.

Check your params. I would do that water change daily for a few days untill everything settles back in. Is your tank small? Is it newer? Your new fish probably created an ammonia spike.

When I cull my fish I always put them in the freezer first to give them a suffering free death. Never flush live fish.
