As some of you have seen from my previous posts, the Aquatic Experience of Chicago will be having a live aquascaping contest that's sanctioned and sponsored by the Aquatic Gardeners Association. The information for this year's convention can be found at the following website:
http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/aqu...xperience.html
There are two categories, a small and large aquascape, both of which have cash prizes for the winning aquascapes.
For the small category, the entry fee is $75, but you get to keep the Fluval Floral Plant Tank even if you don't receive a prize. That's $75 entry for the price of a $200 complete nanotank kit. And, if your aquascape is one of the winning tanks, you get an additional prize. What's not to love about that! Space is limited for the small category, so sign up as soon as you can!
For the large category, 6 teams (2-5 members) will compete for $2000 in prize money. There are already some teams signed up and the spots may go quickly, so get in on it while you can.
I'd like to challenge the Iowa area aquascapers to form a team(s) and enter this year's contest! Pull some friends together and enter one or even two groups! This could be a great experience and lots of fun!
Hope to see some of you in the contest!!
