I like the 6700k, 6500k is also one that I use. Both are close in color but plants love them.

depends on what kind of plants you want to grow.
Check out what plants you want and then check out their light requirements.
Personally i would go with the 55 watt. That's almost 3 wpg and you will probably be able to grow most plants. Make sure that the 55 watt isn't too long for your tank though

i would get the 55w fixture. what i would do is get the 6700k bulb and then in a few months get a 6700k and 10000k dual bulb. i just got one for my coralife fixture and it looks fantastic much better then the original 6700k imo.

where do u get one of these dual bulbs?

i didnt have enough money to buy the light bulb but now i do so im wondering if theres anywhere local i could just go and pick one up

also does anyone know how long it will take to ship the kit all they told me was the price

well im going to petsmart tonight like in an hour and im wondering what length of the light i should get because i dont think there is such thing as a 22in light. Also does anyone know if i need a straight or square pin for the lights?

The AHSupply 55w kits use straight pin bulbs. Their website says that they use straight pin bulbs for 36w and 55w kits. http://www.ahsupply.com/bulbs.htm

I've never seen PC's at Pet Smart and if you buy PC's through a LFS; you're going to pay a lot more than buying online.

55w/65w straight pin PC's are ~ 22" to 23" long.
