Has anyone had problems with Tetra fish eating their plants?
What did you do to prevent this?

What species of tetra? I've never seen it before, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

The buenos aires tetra are little lawn mowers.

These are the Tetras that have eaten some of my plants -
Buenos aires Tetra
Pristellia Tetra
Lemon Tetra
Silvertipped Tetra.

I keep BATs with java fern and java moss without trouble... I'd imagine they only eat soft plants, so the tougher ones like those and anubias, crypts, etc. could manage.

Might they be trying to tell you that they need more vegetables in their diet? A good spirulina flake may help reduce their lawn mowing tendancies, and even if it doesn't at least your fish will be healthier.

I have been feeding them a growth formula with spirulina in it. Also put some Pelia in the tank to distract them.

They ate my favorites:
Baby Tears
Dwarf Hair Grass
Hygro Sunset
Watermilfoil, Brazil
