I've got a 2017 bottle here but, not sure if It's reading properly ...
Planted Tank CO2 injected and High Lights. I ran a test here recently. Blue on the first
drop and then green on the second ( very light colored) and then on the 3rd drop it went
to a YELLOW . I would think it would just get a little darker green ?? or is this common?
This was not direct out of the Tank which is reading 10 ppm. I usually have water sitting in my Rain barrels for a min. of 24-36 hrs prior to WC's with Circulation, Temp adjustment and API Tap Water Conditioner. Wonder if this Kit is bad or not ??

Aaahh jeez, don't know what I was thinking. I usually don't test much and go by visuals.
I'm reading though 10 DKH on this tank. with a ph of around 6.8 .... GH around 8 ....
New Tank Jan. 20th start up. ADA soil... small 14 gallon cube..

I've got a few Seiryu Stones in there as well. I do know it takes a bit for the tank to balance out with this particular soil. I also have Power sand Special S in there as well .....
Small branch of Manzanita also. Tank is 2 months now......
